The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting the business headquarters and department staff teams and ensuring the effective implementation of services, policies, and programs.  Leads or co-leads the following functional areas: Talent Acquisition, data analysis, employee relations for engagement, recognition, and employee development.  Responsibility of the Engagement Survey process in the US, Canada and Europe. Assists in HR issues with continual emphasis on organizational improvement, confidentiality and high-performance.  

  1. Leads onboarding activities for new hires within the corporate office.
  2. Assists in development and training programs for salaried employees.
  3. Assists with the Talent Acquisition efforts for College Recruiting activities.
  4. Supports the VP HR on engagement and recognition activities.
  5. Responsible for Engagement process across all US and Canada for the business
  6. Develops & Implements Engagement Survey across US, and Canada, aligned with LATAM
  7. Implements Engagement action plans across US, and Europe
  8. Assists with the planning and administration of HR policies and procedures; maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  9. Interprets and analyzes HR data.
  10. Create and/or assist with HR data reporting.
  11. Assists and supports department organizational design, job description and evaluation process and implementation of change.
  12. Responsible for the resolution of employee relations issues within the business unit staff departments.

 

 

Job Requirements

Individual with 2-4 years of human resources related experience.   Must be reliable and able to handle confidential information with discretion. Must show initiative, good judgment, and ability to collaborate with others.  Must be able to cope with pressure of deadlines, sudden increases in work demands, work with little or no supervision, and be able to effectively deal with others in a tactful, courteous, and personable manner.

The incumbent must maintain the highest level of integrity in the execution on his/her work, including handling matters requiring confidentiality. S/he must demonstrate initiative, time management, project management, and organization skills.  Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) are needed. Must possess strong analytical and detail orientation skills.

A Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or related four-year degree in an accredited post-secondary institution is required. A Master’s degree is preferred if the undergraduate degree was not an HR focus.  A minimum of three years HR related experience (including internships) in roles at the corporate level and knowledge of applicable federal and state laws is required.

Office / R&D environment, with remote work in place currently, visits to various plants and other corporate locations. 

Travel up to 15% of the time.
