Job Description

The HR / Training Coordinator is responsible for all hourly recruiting, coordination and tracking of training, qualification checklists and new hire evaluations.  Reports directly to the HR Director on the following functional areas: recruiting, on-boarding, reporting, data entry and analysis, and hourly payroll processing (as a back-up to the Payroll Specialist).  Assists in HR department with continual emphasis on organizational improvement, confidentiality and high-performance.  

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead all recruiting activities including advertisement (Radio, Billboards, Job Fairs, etc.)
  2. Lead/Coordinate all on-boarding activities for new hires, including scheduling new hire orientation, planning, presentation, etc.
  3. Assists in development and training programs for hourly employees.
  4. Prepare, track and maintain training logs, qualification checklists, new hire evaluations
  5. Prepare reports by collecting and analyzing data.
  6. Act as back-up payroll processor
  7. Perform other administrative tasks as required by HR Director

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required, Associate or Bachelor Degree Preferred
  • 3 - 5 years of experience with recruiting, on-boarding, training or adult learning and human resource administrative duties.  
  • Must be reliable and able to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Must show initiative, good judgment, and ability to collaborate with others.
  • Must be able to cope with pressure of deadlines, sudden increases in work demands, work with little or no supervision, and be able to effectively deal with others in a tactful, courteous, and personable manner.
