Job Description


The Business Intelligence Analyst will provide both short-term tactical sales support and long term strategic guidance. This role is heavily data-dependent and requires an individual with demonstrated ability for advanced analytics, reporting, data management, and project management skills. The role interacts with field management, finance, sale operations, supply chain, and IT to develop and provide profitable customers solutions. This person must provide analytical support for entire ARG sales team as needed on a daily basis.

The Business Intelligence Analyst plays a critical role in execution and implementation of business strategies related to product pricing and product coverage, and has a significant impact on the performance of the ARG business. This position influences and leads all facets of the team's strategic Pricing efforts to support profitable sales.

Key Roles and Responsibilities include:

Identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present business recommendations that will help shape the future of ARG
Support the ARG sales team by providing pricing, financial modeling, data mining and analysis, project management, and reporting.
Analyze and solve business problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context
Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
Manage and execute components of large projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations
Assists team in determining optimized customer pricing
Perform analysis and prepare executive-level reports of findings
Manage a database of industry, internal, and third-party datasets to analyze and make recommendations supporting the division



Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance/Marketing/Mathematics/Engineering/IT/Comp Science or related field is required
Minimum of three years of experience in a financial or other related analytical business role
MBA preferred
SQL Querying experience

Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to excel in an unsupervised environment
Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
Ability to focus on results, drive change, promote teamwork and build trust and respect
Understanding of the market and customer perspective
 Ability to plan, organize, communicate and share information
Attention to detail and the ability to mobilize resources and manage complexity are also required
