Job Description


The Commercial Financial Analyst position is responsible for providing creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance. This position is also responsible for assembling and summarizing data to structure sophisticated reports on sales data.

The incumbent must possess strong analytical skills for the gathering and assessment of data including finances and operating costs. Must be able to track sales data and identify market trends. Investigative skills relating to market and industry research, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

The incumbent must be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Outlook. Advanced to expert skills in Excel and PowerPoint are preferred.


  • Develop cost and pricing breakdowns
  • Provide support to the Sales Managers by providing breakdowns of customer information and financial data
  • Assist with quoting, explaining variations, and compiling various datapoint validations to provide to customer
  • Interact and input data into customer webpages
  • Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts etc) taking into account company’s goals and financial standing
  • Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks
  • Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis
  • Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models
  • Consult with management to guide and influence long term and strategic decision making within the broadest scope
  • Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or Supply Chain is required
  • 0-2 years of experience is required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Solid communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work both independently and effectively within a team
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Outlook
  • Fluency in Spanish helpful, but not required
