The position is responsible for the strategic planning, technical support and overall management for handling environmental, health, safety, training and industrial hygiene issues. This position oversees the compliance programs, procedures and policies associated with federal, state, and local regulations..

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-10 years' work experience in the environmental field, primarily in air permitting and compliance
  • BS or MS degree in Chemical, Civil, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related field
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge in Clean Air Act requirements with ability to complete regulatory analysis of a variety of air emission sources.
  • Provide technical expertise on complex regulatory issues
  • Preparation of compliance reports (Title V Semi-Annual Monitoring reports, Annual Compliance Certifications, annual emissions inventories, greenhouse gas reports, and other compliance reporting).
  • Adept at emission calculations, data analysis, evaluation of control technologies, compliance auditing, permitting, and strategic regulatory analyses
  • Ability to understand and communicate risks associated air permitting and compliance to leadership and within project execution teams.
  • Possess a strong background in operational compliance, including understanding of air sources, air pollution control technologies, and interaction with facility functions such as operations, maintenance, instrumentation and engineering, process safety, etc.
  • Knowledge of air quality regulations for Pennsylvania, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
  • Knowledge of the Title V permitting/renewal process
  • Conduct audits and maintain and complete inspections and updates for all environmental programs including: SPCC, storm water, air emissions, hazardous waste, WWTP, emergency response, and others as required.
  • Develop and maintain standard work and maintain data, prepare and submit various reports to the appropriate agencies including OSHA annual summaries, and workers’ compensation first reports of injuries
  • Conduct Risk Assessments for risk control, directives, equipment, control hazardous energy, industrial hygiene, PPE, chemicals, emergency drill, and regulatory compliance
  • Motivated goal-oriented individual with excellent organization, planning & implementation, time-management, and quality control skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate to cross functional groups within all levels of the organization both orally and in writing, including preparation and submission of clear, concise and accurate reports
  • Ability to establish credibility, be decisive, recognize priorities.
  • Ability to take initiative.
