We are seeking a Facility Services Supervisor to join our team at the Glass Technology Center in Harmar, PA.  The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical understanding and have excellent supervisory skills. The person will direct and oversee all daily maintenance activates including assignment of work orders, tracking repairs and equipment performance, and coordinating all evening and weekend callout work. 

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee , Manage, and direct all work plans and schedules for day to day Maintenance work of the Facility
  • Forecast manpower needs and make job assignments for preventive maintenance of the Vitro Glass Technology Center
  • Manage external contractors performing landscaping, custodial and  snow removal duties 
  • Site expert on Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage the maintenance operations
  • Responsible for all operations of the Glass Technology Facility including chillers, cooling towers, boilers, heat exchangers, pumps, water heaters, air compressors, vacuum pumps, AHU, exhaust units, water systems, fire alarm, fire suppression, building electrical and network systems
  • Training procedures for facility services staff
  • Control costs against the annual maintenance budget
  • Make personnel evaluations, suggest salary and promotion adjustments
  • Interview  and  evaluate potential  employees  for the Vitro Glass Technology Center
  • Maintain site vehicle fleet
  • Responsible for operations of Building Automation system

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in a light industrial/ heavy commercial environment required
  • Trade School Preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of proven experience leading and directing a staff of maintenance personnel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of building automation systems
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision



The working environment is heavy commercial or light industrial setting in a high bay facility along with office area, and research lab. The work also includes exterior work-especially roof.   HVAC units on roof are confined space so ability to do confined space work. 

  • Must be able to climb ladders and work from elevated surfaces/catwalks
  • Must be comfortable with heights 
  • There will be off-shift call outs, overtime, and weekend work for outages
