Job Description


The Product Manager will be the key connection between the Marketing Organization and the Flat Glass Organization to achieve Flat Glass product innovation and sales objectives within all market segments (Commercial Construction, Residential, and Specialty). The successful candidate will work to attain Flat Glass Marketing Team objectives by identifying and managing key projects within the organization through coordination of product development, establishing market position and managing pricing strategies.    

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
  • Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
  • Develop product pricing and positioning strategies
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
  • Work closely with stakeholders to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
  • Drive product launches including working with mark-com team, executives, and other product management team members
  • Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed
  • Act as a product fanatic to build awareness and understanding
  • Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services
  • Direct and/or prioritize production schedules as needed for servicing customer order requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering field
  • Experience in business development, sales, marketing or equivalent field
  • Must be willing to travel 25%

  • A proven self-starter able to work independently to achieve team goals
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization and all functional areas.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with an ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills to be able to understand, apply and convey complex construction related market, product, technical and information
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact with multiple channel levels to build relationships and trust
  • Management of multiple potential multi-million dollar projects in the business development cycle.
