The HR Generalist is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the HR office and ensuring the effective implementation of services, policies, and programs. Reports directly to and assists the HR Manager with the following functional areas: staffing, employee relations, benefits administration, compensation/payroll, health and welfare, organizational development/training, performance management and community relations.
Bachelors degree is required in HR Management/Organizational Development/Industrial Relations disciplines
3 to 5 years’ experience preferred (less if Master’s degree or satisfactory equivalent certifications)
Vitro Architecture operates complex glass production facilities. This position is primarily located in an office setting; however, interaction on the manufacturing floor will be required. Safety equipment is required and provided.
The normal work week is based on a continuous operations (24/7) schedule. Incumbent will work predominately dayshift Monday through Friday but is required to be available/report for off-hours calls or emergencies. Incumbent will work hours that best accommodate the plant population as far as availability for HR services i.e. early mornings for shift change.
