This position provides overall direction and guidance for plant financial and accounting functions and controls, ensuring consistency in financial reporting and processes, reporting areas of concern and identifying and recommending areas of opportunity for improvement. A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA designation is required (MBA is preferred), with at least five years of management experience in Finance and Accounting within a manufacturing operations environment. Strong knowledge of manufacturing data analytics, cost accounting and Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP) is required. Solid analytical, planning, organizing and interpretive skills are essential.
The incumbent must have a high sense of personal ethics and integrity and possess solid communication skills (both verbal and written) and the interpersonal skills required for regular ongoing interactions with plant management, staff and corporate executive management. This includes the ability to delegate, coach and develop a high-performing accounting team. The incumbent must be organized, action-oriented and results-driven. The incumbent must be highly proficient in MS Office EXCEL, Word and Outlook; familiarity with ERP system conversion and Infor LNG.1 is an asset.
