The Quality Manager plans, organizes and directs the activities of the plant Quality Control department and coordinates the total plant quality assurance effort to ensure conformance to customer, division and plant quality standards and government regulations. The incumbent provides objective evaluations of process performance and product quality and develops subordinates for continual contributions towards plant quality goals. S/he serves as the Plant Management Representative for ISO/TS 16949 compliance audits and other audits and supports plant quality, safety and environmental goals in this role.
Address quality requirements (e.g. selection of special characteristics, setting quality objectives, training, corrective action, product design and development) in internal functions/meetings to best represent the needs of the customer and act as an advocate on behalf of the customer.

A Bachelor's degree in engineering or another technical discipline plus at least three years’ experience in Quality Management or equivalent experience of at least five years successfully managing a department is required. The incumbent must have technical production knowledge and as such, must have an engineering background and education, as well as substantial training and competency in quality control techniques.
Must be knowledgeable in statistical process control techniques, FMEA, Control Planning, Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility (GR&R). Knowledgeable in project management and problem solving skills. Proficient in the use of computer systems and software. Preferred Strong knowledge of statistical quality applications, metrology, and manufacturing and quality control standards
Must be proficient at an intermediate to advanced level in personal computers and Microsoft Office applications of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
