This position is to direct, monitor and oversee Wareroom aspects of production operations on the cutting lines and/or Tempering. This position is also responsible to develop and organize projects for improvement and/or control of the various methods of operation, production capabilities and equipment in order to obtain an improved safety, optimum quality, maximum speeds and yields, product cost reductions, efficiency improvements and heightened customer awareness.

  • Key Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Safety and Housekeeping - Assure a safe workplace to prevent injuries to employees by strict adherence to plant and government safety requirements and proper safety reviews of all projects.
  • Quality /Customers - Support plant policy of providing a quality product to both internal and external customers
  • Controllable Costs - Reduce costs by recommending improvement projects and providing support to achieve production at or below budgeted costs.
  • Planning/Technology - Develop & implement short & long range projects to insure continued improvement of Wareroom operations.
  • Productivity - Insure all projects are implemented and scheduled and maximize time utilization to achieve plant objectives.
  • Communications and Training - Conduct training sessions on all modified or new equipment and provide supervisors and peers with necessary information to maintain stable and efficient operations.
  • RIGS - Insure that personal goals support plant goals to provide the best product at the lower cost.

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably mechanical, electrical or equivalent) 
  • 2+ years related experience 

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) for interactions with management, peers, other associates, vendors and contractors
  • Ability to trouble-shoot, analyze and resolve problems, plan, organize and share information
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects to established timelines as performance is measured against project goals and specific assignments
